Being a Trainer is not just about developing content, facilitating sessions, offering tips and guidelines. It is much beyond… The most wonderful facet of being a trainer that I have always cherished, still do and will do forever is the momentum the role drives us towards introspection, need to adopt changes constantly, unveiling the masks of stereotypes, focusing on the reality and urging to progress with passion. The pinnacle it brings to the self is the dire need to implement things, put them into action to research, substantiate, rehearse and observe the impact of a change before we suggest or hand them out to our participants. This very process is super-powerful in sculpting our own-selves and gaining the panache to persuade the participants to go ahead and implement the frameworks we offer them. And that’s why ‘Training’ is rightly referred to as ‘Learning & Development’ – for the self in the first place and to others as a gestated learning outcome of the trainer. If you choose to bring in ‘change’ & ‘progress’ as integrated factors of life, choose to be a ‘trainer’ in kind and virtue!
